Far Cry:
Far Cry is a first-person shooter game developed by Crytek and published by Ubisoft in 2004. The game follows Jack Carver, a former special forces operative, who becomes stranded on a mysterious tropical island after his boat is attacked. As he searches for a missing journalist, he encounters mercenaries and genetically modified creatures known as Trigens, created by a mad scientist. The game features open-ended gameplay, allowing players to approach objectives with stealth or direct combat. With its vast island setting, advanced AI, and realistic physics, Far Cry set a new standard for open-world shooters and became the foundation for a successful franchise.
